Algerian Fans: Affordable World Cup Tickets Within Reach

DZWatch Exclusive: Algerian football fans dreaming of witnessing the 2026 World Cup live may find it surprisingly affordable. FIFA has announced a special pricing category for supporters of qualified national teams, addressing the unprecedented demand for tickets. With nearly 20 million requests already submitted, this initiative aims to make the tournament accessible to passionate fans.

Tickets in the ‘Supporter’ category will be priced at a fixed rate of $60 USD, approximately 7,782 Algerian Dinars, for all 104 matches, including the final. This applies specifically to fans of participating nations.

Each national football federation will manage the selection and distribution process for these tickets. They will establish their own eligibility criteria and oversee the application process, ensuring that these tickets are exclusively allocated to genuine supporters of their national team.

FIFA has outlined that 50% of each participating federation’s ticket allocation will be dedicated to the lower-priced categories: 40% for the ‘Supporter Value Tier’ and 10% for the ‘Supporter Entry Tier’. The remaining allocation will be equally divided between the ‘Supporter Standard Tier’ and ‘Supporter Premier Tier’.

Furthermore, fans who applied through their national federations but whose teams did not qualify for the knockout stages will be exempt from administrative fees when refunding unsuccessful applications.

This announcement coincides with exceptional demand for 2026 World Cup tickets. The random selection phase began on December 11, 2025, and continues to see a surge in applications following the release of the match schedule, host cities, and kickoff times.

Therefore, following the Algerian team during the group stages games against Jordan, Argentina and Austria would cost the fans 180 USD, which is about 23,346 Algerian dinars.

The 2026 World Cup, hosted jointly by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. DZWatch will continue to provide updates on ticket availability and application procedures.
