President Abdelmadjid Tebboune pledges significant financial support to combat cancer in Algeria, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to health and well-being.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has unveiled a substantial financial commitment of 30 billion dinars to the National Cancer Control Fund, set to commence from the year 2024. This announcement was made in a message he sent to the participants of the 22nd Arab Oncology Conference.
President Tebboune emphasized that the fight against cancer involves addressing the gaps in the distribution of cancer control centers across the nation. He added that Algeria concluded the year 2022 with a record of 50,000 cancer cases.
Highlighting the urgency of the situation, the President pointed out that the recorded cases necessitate immediate improvements and evaluations. He reaffirmed the state’s dedication to monitoring and combating cancer, considering it a top priority.
