Osmani Criticizes Opposition Parties in Tizi Ouzou Address

TIZI OUZOU – Lamine Osmani, leader of the People’s Voice Party, delivered a sharp critique of certain political discourses emanating from Tizi Ouzou, hinting at the concurrent activities of some party leaders and the so-called “MAK” terrorist organization in Paris. Osmani made these remarks during a public gathering in Tizi Ouzou on Thursday.

Osmani asserted that past political rivalries between the Socialist Forces Front (FFS) and the Rally for Culture and Democracy (RCD) had ultimately failed to benefit the Tizi Ouzou province. He attributed this to the perceived inability of elected officials from these parties to deliver tangible improvements, according to his assessment. He emphasized that the political competition did not bring any added value to the region.

Furthermore, the party leader voiced his strong opposition to political partisanship, stressing that loyalty should be directed solely towards Algeria, rather than individual leaders or governing authorities. “Our allegiance must be to Algeria first and foremost,” Osmani stated emphatically.

Osmani reiterated that his statements stemmed from his personal convictions, emphasizing his continued commitment as a political activist rather than a power broker. He believes that real change cannot be achieved through insults and abuse. Instead, he promotes inclusive discussions and dialogue to find solutions that address the country’s challenges.

He specifically addressed those advocating for what he termed “escaping the homeland,” urging them to engage in constructive dialogue. “We need to address the root causes that lead some to consider leaving Algeria,” Osmani argued.

Concluding his address, Osmani expressed pride in his Amazigh heritage, revealing that he voted in favor of recognizing Tamazight as a second national official language during his tenure as a member of the National People’s Assembly.
