Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mohamed Thabit Kombo, on Friday. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two nations across various sectors.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting, which also included the Tanzanian Minister of Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports, Palamagamba Kabudi, facilitated a comprehensive assessment of the current state of cooperation. Both ministers reviewed potential avenues for developing and reinforcing ties in areas of mutual interest.
The discussions centered particularly on opportunities to expand collaboration in the pharmaceutical industry, transport, tourism, and energy sectors. This reflects the shared desire of Algeria and Tanzania to elevate their economic and developmental relations to new heights.
Both parties agreed to convene the next session of the Algerian-Tanzanian Joint Economic Cooperation Committee. The aim is to inject fresh momentum into the bilateral partnership and translate political understandings into concrete projects. This session is expected to yield tangible results and further solidify the relationship between the two countries.
The talks underscore Algeria’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with African nations, driving economic growth, and promoting development across the continent. The discussions highlight a proactive approach to strengthening international relations and exploring mutually beneficial opportunities for collaboration.
The meeting took place during Minister Attaf’s official visit to Cairo.
