Algiers – Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia have convened a trilateral meeting to bolster coordination regarding the evolving situation in Libya. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the second session of the African-Russian Partnership Forum at the ministerial level, saw the participation of Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf.
The gathering provided a platform for exchanging perspectives and analyses on the latest political and security developments in Libya. Discussions centered on the rapid changes occurring within Libya and their potential repercussions on regional security and stability.
Ministers from the three nations concurred on the imperative to sustain and deepen joint coordination and consultation. This collaborative effort aims to unify positions and support endeavors geared towards achieving a comprehensive political resolution to the Libyan crisis, founded on dialogue and consensus among Libyan factions.
Furthermore, an agreement was reached regarding meticulous preparations for the upcoming trilateral meeting, scheduled to take place in Tunisia early next year. This proactive approach underscores the commitment of neighboring countries to play an active role in supporting the Libyan political process and fostering stability in the region. The three nations reaffirmed their commitment to a unified and stable Libya.
