Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, initiated a comprehensive evaluation of agencies under his ministry’s supervision, commencing with a dedicated assessment of the National Unemployment Insurance Fund (CNAC). The meeting, held at the ministry headquarters, focused on scrutinizing CNAC’s activities, underscoring the Minister’s commitment to fostering open dialogue, enhancing public administration, and improving overall performance.
Minister Saihi opened the session by stating that the meeting was part of a series of periodic reviews conducted with various affiliated organizations. The objective is to assess achievements, address existing challenges, and collaboratively devise effective solutions to rectify shortcomings and improve the quality of public services.
The Director-General of CNAC presented a report detailing the fund’s activities throughout 2025. The presentation highlighted key areas such as business support, unemployment insurance provisions, and incentive measures designed to promote and enhance employment. Furthermore, the Director-General outlined the major components of CNAC’s 2026 work program, emphasizing objectives aimed at bolstering performance effectiveness and improving beneficiary care.
Minister Saihi issued a series of directives, emphasizing the need to accelerate CNAC’s digitalization process through the development of a modern and efficient information system for managing the unemployment insurance scheme. He stressed the importance of ensuring data security and protection, aligning with contemporary standards and providing flexible, high-quality remote public services.
He also called for the swift implementation of planned projects and the resolution of pending cases, urging intensified efforts to elevate the quality of public service and ensure effective attention to citizens’ concerns, in line with the government’s digital transformation agenda. The Minister emphasized the importance of adopting innovative digital solutions to keep pace with technological advancements, simplify administrative procedures, and enhance the efficiency of public utilities.
Minister Saihi underscored the need to strengthen coordination and communication mechanisms among various affiliated agencies to improve work productivity and overcome any obstacles that may hinder the interests of service users. He specifically stressed that citizens should not be required to visit CNAC facilities to obtain services. This criterion, he stated, will be incorporated into the performance evaluation indicators for affiliated organizations.
In conclusion, the Minister affirmed that the activities of the National Unemployment Insurance Fund will be subject to continuous monitoring and periodic evaluations to ensure the effective implementation of directives.
