Algerian President Renews Commitment to Judicial Reform

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reiterated his commitment to judicial reform in a speech at the opening of the 2023-2024 judicial year. He highlighted the progress that has been made in recent years, including the strengthening of the independence of the judiciary and the fight against corruption. Tebboune also called for the acceleration of the digital transformation of the judiciary and the simplification of procedures.

In his speech, Tebboune praised the work of the judiciary in protecting the rights of citizens and fighting crime. He also acknowledged the challenges that remain, such as the need to improve access to justice and reduce delays in court cases.

Tebboune announced that the government would continue to invest in judicial reform, including through the development of new legislation and training programs for judges. He also called on the international community to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice and self-determination.
