Algiers, [Date] – The Algerian government, in a meeting presided over by Prime Minister [Prime Minister’s Name – if known, otherwise omit], today reviewed a preliminary draft law outlining general rules pertaining to the field of digitalization.
This initiative represents a fundamental stage in establishing an efficient, secure, and cohesive national digital ecosystem. The law aims to implement a modern governance model based on comprehensive digitalization as the cornerstone of administrative performance in managing public affairs.
The proposed law seeks to provide a robust legal framework supporting the digital transformation, ensuring its sustainability and effectiveness. It intends to fully integrate Algeria into the digital age by creating a suitable environment for digital innovation and growth.
In addition to the digitalization law, the government also considered a draft executive decree specifying the conditions for establishing, organizing, operating, and monitoring private institutions for specialized education and training for children with special needs, specifically those with intellectual disabilities.
This draft decree aims to establish and improve the organization and operation of private institutions catering to children with intellectual disabilities. It also intends to address the developments stipulated in Law No. 25-01, dated February 20, 2025, concerning the protection and promotion of persons with special needs. This is to ensure better care and contribute to strengthening the state’s efforts to generalize reception structures for children with intellectual disabilities throughout the national territory.
These discussions highlight the government’s commitment to both technological advancement and the welfare of vulnerable populations within Algeria.
