President’s Address Affirms Commitment to National Goals

Algiers, December 31, 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s recent address to the nation, delivered before members of Parliament at the Palais des Nations, underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its obligations and navigating current challenges, according to the National Construction Movement.

In a statement released today, the Movement emphasized that the President’s speech arrives at a critical juncture, amidst orchestrated campaigns aimed at undermining Algeria’s reputation and destabilizing its institutions. The address, they argue, serves as a powerful rebuttal to these unfounded allegations and malicious schemes.

The Movement hailed the President’s renewed pledge to engage in meaningful national dialogue with political parties, following the enactment of the organic law on political parties. This commitment, they assert, directly addresses criticisms leveled against political parties, dismissing claims of their ineffectiveness and abandonment of their legal responsibilities.

Furthermore, the National Construction Movement lauded President Tebboune’s steadfast dedication to preserving the principle of a social state, a fundamental tenet of the November Revolution and enshrined in the Constitution. They also commended his comprehensive developmental vision for the nation.

The Movement expressed its support for the “new economic pact,” outlined by the President, which prioritizes national sovereignty in key sectors, including food security, industry, and resource management. They also appreciated the President’s candor in addressing past shortcomings and current challenges, particularly in the area of food security and meat production, and his call for sustainable solutions.

Regarding Algeria’s foreign policy, the Movement affirmed its pride in President Tebboune’s articulation of Algeria’s principled stance, balancing the nation’s interests with respect for international law, good neighborliness, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
