Algiers – The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, conducted a visit to the National Polytechnic School of Algiers (ENP) in El Harrach earlier today. The visit focused on showcasing the innovative projects developed by the school’s students and acknowledging the institution’s significant achievements.
During his tour, Minister Badari inspected several key facilities, including the Digital Manufacturing Center, the business incubator, the Artificial Intelligence House, and the Entrepreneurship Development Center. He also visited laboratories and classrooms, engaging with faculty and students. The Minister also attended an exhibition of innovative projects and patents, where students presented their work, emphasizing the application of technology in diverse fields, including healthcare.
In a statement to the press, Minister Badari lauded the school’s “remarkable results,” citing the establishment of 21 micro-enterprises, six startups, and one subsidiary company by students during the 2024-2025 academic year. He emphasized that these accomplishments “reflect the efforts to make the university a central pillar in supporting the national economy by transforming innovative ideas into marketable economic products, contributing to wealth creation and job opportunities.”
Minister Badari also highlighted the President’s “significant support” for strengthening the university’s role as a “driver of local and national development.” He urged students to “invest their intellectual capabilities to engage in the world of entrepreneurship, especially in light of the measures taken to encourage them to capitalize on their research and contribute to advancing the national development process.”
The Minister’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within Algerian universities, aligning academic research with national economic goals.
