Over 285,000 New Training Places Announced for Vocational Sector

The vocational training and education sector is set to offer over 285,000 new pedagogical places nationwide for the upcoming training session scheduled to begin on February 15th. This significant increase encompasses various training modes and programs, according to the Director of Studies at the Ministry.

The newly available places include 57,155 dedicated to apprenticeship-based training and a further 32,641 for traditional classroom-based learning. Opportunities also exist for evening classes, training programs tailored for women at home and in rural areas, and specialized training for individuals with special needs and those receiving unemployment benefits.

The Director of Studies emphasized the strategic importance of apprenticeship-based training. He highlighted its role as a crucial mechanism for connecting training with the labor market and facilitating professional integration, as it combines theoretical learning within training institutions with practical, on-the-job experience within economic enterprises.

The Ministry has reportedly mobilized all necessary resources to ensure a successful training session, including technical and pedagogical resources, as well as branches opened within training institutions and the specializations offered in the vocational training pedagogical program.

Furthermore, new specializations have been introduced into training programs in certain provinces, such as data analysis, solar panel installation and maintenance, and e-commerce. The National Reference Framework for Training and Competencies encompasses numerous specializations, replacing the previous national code which contained over 400 specializations across 23 professional branches.

Through its training offerings, the sector prioritizes professional fields in key sectors, including agriculture, industry, digitalization, construction and public works, tourism and hospitality, water and the environment, and renewable energies. Measures have been taken to ensure training in specializations that align with the demands of the job market and the needs expressed by economic enterprises for qualified personnel.

The sector boasts over 1,100 training institutions distributed across various provinces, including national institutes, providing a robust infrastructure for vocational training across the country.
