Nationwide Training Launched for Algerian Educators

Algiers, Algeria – A large-scale training program for teachers and educational staff has officially commenced across Algeria. The initiative aims to streamline integration and promotion processes within the national education sector.

The Ministry of Education has initiated what it describes as an extensive training program targeting specific categories of education professionals. This program is designed to regularize their professional status in accordance with established legal frameworks.

Starting today, the program includes official clarifications from the Ministry of Education to address misinformation circulating, particularly on social media and union pages, regarding the nature and scope of the training.

The Ministry emphasized that this training is a mandatory legal requirement for integration and promotion, affecting three precisely defined categories of personnel. Completion of the training is a prerequisite for advancement to new ranks.

The objective is to enable eligible individuals to promptly benefit from their professional rights, including salary increases, immediately upon completing the training.

The training program is structured to take place every Saturday for four consecutive months, ensuring the completion of the legally mandated 80 training hours. This duration has been agreed upon with the Directorate-General of Public Service and Administrative Reform.

Recognizing the unique circumstances of Ramadan, practical training will be conducted within the educational institutions where the teachers are currently employed. The training content will focus on acquiring competencies and knowledge relevant to the new ranks being integrated into.

The Ministry has affirmed that the professional benefits resulting from the promotion will be activated immediately following the completion of the training. Further details regarding exemptions within the primary education sector will be announced shortly.
