Algiers – A comprehensive training program for teachers and educational staff has officially commenced across Algeria. This initiative represents a significant step in streamlining integration and promotion mechanisms within the national education sector.
The Ministry of Education has initiated what it describes as an unprecedented training endeavor, targeting specific categories of education personnel. The program aims to regularize their professional status in accordance with established legal frameworks.
This program, which began yesterday at the directorates of education, is accompanied by official clarifications from the Ministry of National Education. This aims to dispel misinformation circulating, particularly on social media and certain union pages, regarding the nature and scope of the training.
The Ministry emphasized that the training is a mandatory legal requirement for integration and promotion, affecting three precisely defined categories of personnel. It constitutes an essential prerequisite for integration into new ranks.
The objective of this measure, according to the Ministry, is to enable beneficiaries to quickly exercise their professional rights, including salary increases, immediately upon completion of the training program.
The training program is structured to take place every Saturday for four consecutive months, allowing for the completion of the legally mandated 80 training hours. This minimum duration has been agreed upon with the Directorate General of Public Service and Administrative Reform.
Acknowledging the specific circumstances of the month of Ramadan, the practical training will be conducted within the educational institutions where the teachers are currently employed. The training content will focus on acquiring the skills and knowledge relevant to the new ranks being integrated.
The Ministry has further stressed that the professional benefits resulting from the promotion will be activated immediately following the completion of the training.
Specific details regarding exemptions within primary education are expected to be released shortly.
