Civil Defense Boxing Team Achieves National Success

The boxing division of the Civil Defense Sports Association has once again demonstrated its prowess on the national stage, achieving remarkable results at the National Boxing Championship. The tournament, held from January 17th to 23rd at the multi-sports hall in Bordj El Kiffan, saw the Civil Defense team secure several prestigious awards.

Tamma Salem emerged as a standout performer, claiming the title of Champion of Algeria in the 65kg weight category. His victory earned the team a well-deserved gold medal. Furthermore, Mawi Mohamed added to the team’s success by securing the silver medal in the 80kg weight category, earning the title of Vice-Champion of Algeria.

The team’s accomplishments didn’t stop there. Three bronze medals were also added to their tally, awarded to Ben Dahmane (60kg), Hamrioui Mohamed (75kg), and Gherouadoul (80kg).

Third Place Nationally

Thanks to these impressive and comprehensive results, the Civil Defense Sports Association team secured third place nationally in the overall team ranking. This achievement underscores the team’s diligent groundwork and the high level of competitiveness that characterizes Civil Defense boxers.

This success reflects a spirit of discipline, physical readiness, and determination to represent their colors with honor. It marks another step towards strengthening the team’s position in future national competitions.
