Algiers – Kinan Algeria has announced the expansion of its maritime route connecting Algeria with Europe to include the Republic of Slovenia, specifically through the Port of Koper. This strategic move aims to develop international commercial maritime transport and strengthen the logistical connectivity between Algeria and Europe.
This decision follows directives from the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Said Sayoud, and is designed to support foreign trade and improve the competitiveness of Algerian maritime transport at both regional and international levels.
The expansion of this maritime route is expected to provide more efficient and streamlined transport solutions for economic operators. This includes reducing shipping times and lowering logistical costs, opening new horizons for export and import operations to European markets, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe.
This initiative is projected to enhance Algeria’s position as a promising logistical hub in the Mediterranean basin. It will also support the commercial dynamism of national enterprises, driven by the increasing demand for reliable and diverse transport routes. The move is anticipated to boost Algeria’s role in international trade and solidify its presence in the global logistics network.
The Port of Koper provides a strategic gateway to Central and Eastern European markets, making it a vital link in Algeria’s expanding trade network. Kinan Algeria’s decision underscores the nation’s commitment to enhancing its maritime infrastructure and fostering stronger economic ties with European partners.
