The Ministry of Finance, led by Minister Laaziz Fayed, spearheaded a coordinative meeting involving financial sector executives to evaluate the implementation of prior decisions. New directives were issued to strengthen governance and promote transparency, marking a significant step towards ensuring fairness and expediting procedures.
The meeting, held yesterday as outlined in a Ministry statement, addressed several key aspects, including the transparency in the rotation of positions and high-level jobs. A transparent and fair trajectory for applying to high-level positions was established gradually to ensure fairness and expedite processes.
Concerning the enhancement of sector governance, the meeting emphasized the importance of organizing regular coordination meetings by each structure. The objective is to improve collaboration, coordinate activities, and ensure periodic monitoring of decisions made.
In this context, the Minister urged all general managers to implement this governance system, including holding regular meetings with their teams and, if necessary, with external departments and regional directorates through remote video conferencing technology.
The statement highlighted that these meetings would culminate in a report primarily utilized for evaluating activities at both the central and regional levels.
Similarly, Fayed encouraged sector professionals to propose initiatives intensifying and enhancing the communication policy of the Ministry of Finance, particularly through the publication of specialized journals.
In line with the Ministry’s directives, several structures, such as the General Directorate of Budget, produce high-quality regional journals accessible through their respective websites, according to the same source.
The Minister emphasized the importance of embracing modern digitization processes to improve operational efficiency and facilitate interactions with citizens and economic stakeholders.
Fayed also alluded to the imminent launch of the Ministry of Finance’s data center, representing a significant milestone in the sector’s digitization strategy. This initiative enhances its technological infrastructure for effective and secure data management.
