The El Moustakbal Front party expressed its great pride on Sunday in the historic supervision by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the province of Bechar, of the full launch of the Western Mining Railway project.
The party considered this project, dedicated to transporting iron ore from Gara Djebilet to the north of the country, a strategic step that establishes a new economic phase based on the valuation of national resources. In a statement, the party emphasized that this massive structural project clearly embodies the Algerian state’s developmental vision aimed at building a productive and diversified economy.
It noted that this direction aims to gradually decouple the economy from hydrocarbons by directing investments toward vital sectors, primarily the mining and manufacturing industries, ensuring solid economic sovereignty. In a related context, the El Moustakbal Front party stressed that this achievement represents a real lever for the development of the southern and southwestern provinces, as it will create a new economic dynamic and provide thousands of jobs.
Furthermore, the party stated that the project would strengthen the connection between national regions, thereby enshrining the principle of developmental justice and integration between various parts of the country. The party also considered that this “sovereign project” reflects a strong political will to restore Algeria’s role as a rising regional economic power through the exploitation of natural resources using modern means that serve present and future generations.
El Moustakbal Front concluded its statement by renewing its full support for all strategic projects that enhance the independence of economic decision-making. It affirmed that moving toward a strong economy is the natural extension of national constants and the spirit of the eternal November 1st Declaration, noting that loyalty to the martyrs today is achieved through construction, production, and full national sovereignty.
