The second phase of the national polio vaccination days begins tomorrow and will continue until December 27, as part of the national health prevention strategy aimed at protecting children’s health and ensuring their immunization against this disease.
According to a ministry statement, this campaign coincides with Algeria’s public health commitments and approved vaccination programs. It includes all children aged between two months and five years, whether they received the vaccine in the first phase or were unable to do so.
In this context, the ministry has mobilized more than 7,000 vaccination centers across the national territory, supported by mobile medical teams working to reach remote and isolated areas to ensure comprehensive and effective coverage for all targeted children.
The ministry also called on all parents to take their children to designated health facilities for vaccination to preserve children’s health, strengthen collective immunity, and protect society from this disease.
