The Ministry of Communication has emphasized the necessity of full and immediate compliance with provisions that uphold the values of transparency and responsibility, while respecting professional requirements and journalistic ethics.
In a statement, the Ministry noted that “given the persistence of some media outlets, across various platforms, in publishing media content without identifying the authors or by using pseudonyms, in clear violation of the provisions of Organic Law No. 23-14 on Information, particularly Article 21 of Chapter Five concerning the journalism profession and its ethics.”
The statement added that “based on the powers legally conferred upon it, the Ministry of Communication stresses the need for full and immediate compliance with these provisions, which establish the values of transparency and responsibility and observe professional requirements and journalistic ethics.”
It also pointed out that violating these provisions would expose perpetrators to the consequences stipulated by law.
