Syrian actress Hoda Shaarawi passed away on Thursday at her home in the capital, Damascus, at the age of 87. Sources reported that the late actress was killed by her maid, who fled the scene after committing the crime.
Various reports indicated that the death occurred under mysterious circumstances. Security forces have launched an investigation after the actress was found dead inside her residence.
Mazen Al-Natour, head of the Artists Syndicate, confirmed the reports regarding the death of the Syrian actress, widely known for her character “Um Zaki.”
Al-Natour stated that preliminary forensic data suggests the crime occurred between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM on Thursday, January 29. He added that the primary suspect is the victim’s maid, who remains at large.
