The National Meteorological Office has reported thunderstorms and strong winds across several provinces of the country.
In an alert issued on Wednesday, the office warned of continued thunderstorms with rainfall amounts exceeding 60 mm until 03:00 on Thursday morning. The affected provinces include Mostaganem, Chlef, Tipaza, Relizane, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, and Tiaret.
Another alert indicated heavy thunderstorms with rainfall exceeding 50 mm starting from 09:00 on Wednesday morning until 03:00 on Thursday morning. This warning covers the provinces of Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Blida, Medea, and Bouira.
In a separate bulletin, the office predicted strong winds exceeding 90 km/h from 09:00 on Wednesday morning until 18:00. The affected areas include Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Chlef, Ain Defla, and Tipaza.
Furthermore, meteorological services warned of strong winds exceeding 90 km/h from noon on Wednesday until 21:00 in the provinces of Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, and Medea.
