The Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nassima Arhab, oversaw on Sunday the signing of a partnership agreement between the ministry and the General Directorate of National Archives, along with the launch of a training course dedicated to archiving and document management at the National Institute for Vocational Training and Education.
In her opening speech, the minister explained that this partnership comes within the framework of “implementing our sector’s strategy aimed at modernizing the administration, ensuring the quality of public service, preserving institutional memory, and ensuring the continuity of administrative work.”
The minister also emphasized that “archiving today is no longer just a means of preserving documents; it is a science in its own right that relies on modern techniques and standards, especially in the era of digital transformation, which requires us to modernize the national administration in line with the speed of technological change.”
Nassima Arhab highlighted the importance of the archiving field, noting the main objectives of organizing this training course, primarily improving the efficiency of human resources in charge of managing archives, promoting a culture of modern archiving, and unifying work methods according to recognized national standards.
The minister explained that “it is not possible to discuss this training course without strengthening it with a partnership agreement with the General Directorate of National Archives, which is considered a very important milestone and a qualitative step reflecting our shared will to exchange expertise and knowledge and benefit from the scientific and technical supervision provided by this national reference body.”
