Consumer Protection Organization issues warning

The Algerian Consumer Protection Organization has warned against purchasing table mats that feature the Holy Quran as a base for dishes.

In a statement, the organization said: “The Quran is supreme and nothing should be placed above it. We warn against buying table mats that show an image of the Holy Quran as a base for dishes, such as under a date bowl.”

The organization emphasized that this design constitutes a clear insult to sacred symbols and a manifest religious violation. Furthermore, the Consumer Protection Organization appealed to regulatory authorities to withdraw this product from the markets.
