The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Omar Rekkache, received delegations and representatives from several foreign companies on Sunday to discuss investment opportunities and the localization of new projects in Algeria. These meetings are part of the agency’s efforts to encourage and support productive investment and attract foreign direct investment.
In this context, Rekkache met with a delegation from the Indian company “Tenshi,” a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry. The delegation expressed its interest in entering the Algerian market by implementing investment projects in partnership with Algerian operators, particularly in the production of raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry.
The Director General also held a meeting with officials and representatives of “LG Electronics Algérie SARL,” which expressed its desire to implement a new investment project in the household appliances sector. The company indicated its openness to establishing partnerships with national operators to manufacture its brands in Algeria, which would allow for the transfer of technology and industrial knowledge, the creation of qualified jobs, and the enhancement of local integration and the national industrial fabric. The two parties discussed various options and mechanisms for realizing this project, whether independently or through partnerships via the partnership exchange managed by the agency, as well as the agency’s role in facilitating the investment as soon as possible.
Additionally, Rekkache received a delegation from the Vietnamese company “Nutifood,” which specializes in the production and processing of coffee and milk. The company, which operates several farms and factories in Vietnam, expressed its desire to explore the national market in anticipation of implementing agricultural and industrial investments in this field.
