President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune has ordered the immediate return of the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Niger to Niamey.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this decision follows the return of the Ambassador of the Republic of Niger to Algeria and the resumption of his duties today, February 12, 2026, in Algiers.
According to the same source, this decision reflects the high importance the President of the Republic attaches to strengthening fraternal relations, cooperation, and good neighborliness with Niger.
