Technical trials for the Bechar-Tindouf train have begun over a distance of 900 km. The initial technical trials for the massive Western Mining Railway project connecting Tindouf and Bechar were successfully recorded last Tuesday, using a locomotive specifically designed for this type of testing and passenger transport.
Abdelkader Mazar, the central communications director at the National Agency for the Study and Follow-up of Railway Investment Projects, stated that the first technical trials conducted on the new railway line connecting the provinces of Bechar, Beni Abbes, and Tindouf over a distance of 950 km yielded satisfactory results. This line is dedicated to the development of the Gara Djebilet iron mine.
