Last week, members of the judicial police squad in the Beni Saf district security forces put an end to the criminal activities of five individuals, including women, who were practicing sorcery and witchcraft.
The suspects were arrested after monitoring activity at the residence of one of the main suspects in Beni Saf. A legal search of the residence, conducted in coordination with the competent public prosecutor’s office, resulted in the seizure of items, supplies, and equipment used in witchcraft rituals, in addition to pharmaceutical materials consisting of 118 plastic bottles of intravenous saline.
The suspects were presented before the competent judicial authorities at the Beni Saf court under a criminal case. A detention order was issued against them on charges of forming a criminal association, practicing sorcery and witchcraft, fraud, and endangering people’s lives.
