The investigating judge of the fourth chamber at the Dar El Beïda court ordered on Wednesday the placement of the detained TikToker, Marwa Zaalani, in temporary detention at the Koléa correctional facility pending investigation.
The current investigation was initiated by high-level security authorities based on technical and scientific evidence against the accused, which investigators obtained as part of the ongoing inquiry.
It was revealed that the accused communicates with hostile terrorist entities known for their enmity toward the state and its institutions, operating abroad.
Investigations also proved that the accused, Marwa Zaalani, was subscribed to an account belonging to a terrorist fugitive from justice and communicated with him on several occasions through messages and voice chats via her electronic account. The content of these communications, which has been seized, is considered technical evidence and strong indications of the accused’s collaboration with parties committing subversive acts targeting state security.
The accused is being prosecuted as part of the investigation for money laundering, praising terrorist acts, and other charges that will continue to follow her in the ongoing investigation.
Marwa Zaalani is known on the social media platform TikTok as “Marwa Bibichati,” where she displays and promotes women’s clothing for sale on her page, operating from a clothing store located in the city of Staoueli in the capital.
