The National Committee for Moonsighting and Religious Timings, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, announced on Sunday that the date for observing the crescent moon of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH / 2026 AD will be Tuesday, Sha’ban 29, 1447 AH, corresponding to February 17, 2026.
The same source explained in a statement that, in observance of this blessed tradition, a special seminar will be held for the occasion after the Maghrib prayer. The event will take place at Dar al-Imam Sidi Abderrahmane al-Thaalibi in Mohammadia, Algiers, and its proceedings will be broadcast across various media outlets.
