Algérie Poste clarified on Sunday that the “Know Your Customer” (KYC) data update process for users of the ECCP platform is a mandatory procedure. This measure falls under regulatory requirements and current laws, in accordance with the provisions of Law 05-01 concerning the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as international standards for customer identity verification.
The institution indicated that the objective of this process is to update personal information to enhance customer identification and protect accounts and financial transactions. It emphasized that failure to complete the update will not result in the closure or blocking of the account.
Algérie Poste also reassured users that the declared information remains confidential and is used strictly within the legal framework. It added that the accuracy of the entered data is the responsibility of the account holder.
