Boughali Receives Indonesian Ambassador to Algeria

The President of the People’s National Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, received the Ambassador of Indonesia to Algeria, Chalief Akbar Tjandraningrat, at the assembly’s headquarters on Monday.

According to a statement from the People’s National Assembly, the two parties discussed the historical bilateral relations between Algeria and Indonesia, which are based on friendship and mutual cooperation. Boughali expressed pride in the significant progress achieved through cooperation and rapprochement between Algiers and Jakarta, as reflected in the mutual visits between the heads of the two parliaments and parliamentary delegations.

Boughali also highlighted the importance of the Algeria-Indonesia Parliamentary Friendship Group’s visit to Jakarta last January and its fruitful outcomes. According to the statement, the meeting provided an opportunity to address economic relations between the two countries, emphasizing the need to strengthen them through strong partnerships to increase trade volume and investment.

For his part, Indonesian Ambassador Chalief Akbar Tjandraningrat expressed his deep gratitude to Ibrahim Boughali for the warm reception and for his role in enhancing relations between the two countries, praising the strong ties connecting them in various fields.
