Prime Minister Saifi Gharib oversaw the official installation ceremony of the working group tasked with establishing the national network for accreditation, conformity, and certification on Tuesday.
The installation of this team, which includes highly qualified national experts in the field, comes as part of implementing the strategic vision of the President of the Republic. This vision aims to modernize the system for monitoring the conformity of goods and services and to enhance national capabilities in analysis and quality control, ensuring the protection of the national economy, supporting subcontracting and local production, and safeguarding consumer health and safety.
This installation followed an initial inventory of available national capabilities in analysis and conformity monitoring, covering various economic and service sectors as well as scientific research centers.
This process led to the identification and documentation of available technical and human capacities, highlighting a wide network of national laboratories to be utilized in the future to strengthen technical sovereignty and support the competitiveness of the national economy.
