A delegation from the Russian State Duma, led by Dmitry Sablin, coordinator of the parliamentary group responsible for relations with Middle Eastern and North African countries, arrived in Algeria on Monday.
According to a statement from the People’s National Assembly, the visit is part of an official mission scheduled from January 19 to 23.
Upon arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport, the delegation was received by members of the Algeria-Russia parliamentary friendship group, led by the group’s chairman, Abdel Salam Bechagha.
The statement added that the visit falls within the context of strengthening cooperation and parliamentary consultation between the two friendly nations.
