MC Oran announced on Wednesday the appointment of Bilal Dziri as the team’s head coach, succeeding Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido, whose contract was terminated by mutual consent following a series of negative results recently recorded by the team.
A statement from the club’s management on its official Facebook page said: “The management of MC Oran announces the appointment of Bilal Dziri as head coach, alongside Haddou Moulay as first assistant coach, on a contract extending until the end of the season. This comes as part of the management’s efforts to enhance technical stability and achieve the set goals.”
The club’s management clarified that the new technical staff will also include Mohamed Hamdoud as second assistant coach, Sofiane Mahdaoui as fitness trainer, Natèche Abdelraouf as goalkeeper coach, and Walid Khadraoui as video analyst.
Former international Bilal Dziri, 53, who previously played for NA Hussein Dey and USM Alger, has managed several Algerian clubs throughout his career.
Following the 18th round of the Ligue 1 Mobilis championship, MC Oran currently occupies seventh place in the league standings with 24 points.
