The aftermath of recent weather fluctuations

The General Directorate of Civil Protection has released a report on the general situation following the weather fluctuations experienced across several provinces, updated as of 7:00 AM this Wednesday.

In the municipality of Hadjout, Tipaza province, rainwater was pumped from the entrances of ten shops in the 18 February neighborhood. In the municipality of Koléa, rainwater was removed from two houses in the Ksarli neighborhood. Additionally, emergency services evacuated a family of four after the Mazafran River flooded their home on National Road 67 toward Berbissa.

In the Algiers province, Civil Protection units responded to a palm tree falling on power lines in front of the Birtouta district headquarters. Another palm tree fell on the road adjacent to the Al-Atiq Mosque in Kouba. In the Oued Koriche municipality, a tree fell on a passenger car in the Ikhwan Bouchichi neighborhood, with no casualties reported.

In the municipality of Bologhine, Civil Protection recorded a landslide near a building, which caused a partial blockage of a residential entrance in the 192 Consulate Zghara neighborhood. Furthermore, a partial balcony collapse was reported following falling stones from an old building on 31 Saoud Achour Street in the Bourouba municipality.
