Saadaoui emphasizes the need for continuous monitoring of educational institutions

Minister of National Education, Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, stressed the necessity of continuous monitoring of the status of educational institutions and the progress of schooling, especially in provinces that have experienced or are still experiencing weather fluctuations. During a national seminar held via video conference on Thursday, Saadaoui emphasized the importance of intensifying regular field visits to ensure the readiness of these institutions, particularly regarding heating and waterproofing repairs.

In this context, the Minister confirmed that the decision to continue or suspend classes is based on precise data from relevant partner sectors, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport. The Minister also directed education directors to strengthen coordination with local authorities and intensify efforts to ensure school transportation and the continued provision of hot meals, especially in remote areas, highlighting that the student’s interest requires bringing various actors together around the school, as education is a collective responsibility.

In the same context, the Minister emphasized the importance of regular field visits to educational institutions as the best way to make proactive decisions, whether regarding renovation programs or registering new projects. He stressed the need for radical solutions to imbalances rather than relying on temporary fixes.
