The security services of the Oran province, represented by the Es Senia district security, in coordination with the Directorates of Trade, Agriculture, and Hygiene of the Es Senia municipality, seized nearly 6 quintals of white meat, red meat, and minced meat unfit for human consumption during a joint field operation.
According to an official statement, as part of the efforts made by the security services to maintain the environment, ensure consumer safety and health, and prevent food poisoning during the holy month of Ramadan, police officers in Es Senia conducted a joint field inspection to monitor retail meat shops. During the operation, 594 kg of spoiled white and red meat, as well as minced meat unfit for consumption, were seized.
The statement added that this operation was part of ongoing efforts to protect consumer health. In coordination with a veterinarian and the municipal hygiene office, it was determined that the seized quantity was unfit for human consumption due to failure to comply with hygiene, storage, and public health conditions. Legal measures have been taken against the violators.
