The Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, held a working session on Thursday at the ministry’s headquarters to evaluate the activities of central administration officials for the period from January 6 to 21, 2026.
According to a ministry statement, Saihi issued several important directives, emphasizing the need for a strict response to any violations that might affect the interests of service users.
In this context, the Minister instructed the Inspector General of Labor to intensify field visits to workplaces to monitor compliance with labor legislation and improve working conditions. He also called for increased awareness efforts regarding the necessity of complying with laws and regulations that guarantee workers’ rights, particularly concerning occupational health and safety and protection from professional risks.
Furthermore, the Minister stressed the importance of enhancing continuous coordination with various sectors to enable citizens to fully access their rights through the inter-exchange of data and documents, sparing users the burden of providing documents already available within public administrations.
The Minister also reiterated his directives regarding the exclusive reliance on digital services by developing interactive platforms that allow users to access their rights remotely with flexibility and ease.
Additionally, the Minister directed the establishment of administrative complexes in the newly created provinces, housing various supervised bodies in a single location to bring services closer to citizens and reduce the hardship of traveling between different administrations.
At the conclusion of the session, the Minister emphasized the vital importance of continuous training for the sector’s human resources, describing it as a fundamental pillar for improving performance and enhancing the quality of public service.
