Oil Prices Rise

Oil prices rose at the start of trading today, Tuesday, driven by escalating geopolitical concerns in the Middle East, coinciding with the approach of a new round of nuclear talks between Washington and Tehran.

By 08:00 GMT (09:00 Algeria time), Brent crude futures rose by about 0.7% to reach $71.97 per barrel.

At the same time, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose by 0.7% to reach $66.76 per barrel.
