Tunisian President Receives Ahmed Attaf at Carthage Palace

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, was received Monday morning by Tunisian President Kais Saied.

During the meeting, Minister Ahmed Attaf conveyed the greetings of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Tunisian President, expressing his aspiration to continue joint work to achieve further gains in strengthening Algerian-Tunisian relations, in line with the integrated vision they share for the present and future of the partnership between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting allowed for a review of various areas of bilateral cooperation in light of the significant outcomes and qualitative results of the 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Committee. Both sides emphasized the need to translate these outcomes into practical projects and tangible achievements that add more momentum and distinction to the relations between the two countries.

Regarding the situation in Libya, the meeting highlighted the great importance of the tripartite mechanism of neighboring countries, which is holding a new session in Tunisia. This session aims to discuss the most appropriate ways to provide support and assistance to the Libyan people, enabling them to overcome their crisis, achieve reconciliation, and preserve the sovereignty, unity, and independence of their country.
