Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received today at the ministry’s headquarters the Senior Advisor to the US President for Africa, Arab Affairs, and the Middle East, Massad Boulos, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
On this occasion, the Minister of State held a private meeting with Massad Boulos, followed by an expanded meeting that included members of the Algerian and American delegations.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review various aspects of Algerian-American relations and discuss ways to strengthen and elevate them to the highest possible levels.
In this regard, both parties noted the importance of strengthening the existing strategic dialogue between Algeria and the United States, and reaffirmed the need to continue the positive dynamic characterizing the bilateral partnership, especially in economic fields.
The two sides also exchanged views on the most prominent current issues in the Arab world and the African continent, particularly developments in Libya, the Sahel and Sahara region, as well as Western Sahara.
