National coach Vladimir Petkovic will hold a press conference next Wednesday at the Nelson Mandela Stadium lecture hall, starting at 21:00, to announce the national team squad for the March training camp.
According to the Algerian Football Federation, Petkovic will reveal the list of players selected for the two friendly matches against Guatemala and Uruguay.
The first friendly match against Guatemala will take place on Friday, March 27, at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy, while the second match against Uruguay will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 20:30 Algeria time.
The national team returns to competition during the March international break, two months after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The national team will play another friendly match on Wednesday, June 3, against the Netherlands at the Rotterdam Stadium at 19:45 Algeria time, a few days before heading to the United States to participate in the World Cup finals.
The national team is placed in Group J alongside Argentina, Austria, and Jordan.
