Delivery of Algerian Fertilizer Donation to Kenya

The Algerian Ambassador to Kenya, Mahi Boudmedienne, officially handed over the fertilizer donation provided by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Kenya on Thursday. This contribution is part of the traditional solidarity between the two nations.

The Kenyan Minister of Agriculture, Mwangi Kiunjuri, received the donation on behalf of the Kenyan government from Ambassador Boudmedienne during an official ceremony held at the port of Mombasa, where the fertilizer was unloaded.

Expressing his gratitude, Minister Kiunjuri conveyed warm thanks from the Kenyan government and people to Algeria and President Tebboune for this highly valuable donation of fertilizer, essential for the success of Kenya’s agricultural season.

The Kenyan official emphasized that this solidarity initiative by the Algerian President strengthens the historical bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted President Kenyatta’s keen interest in collaborating with his counterpart, President Tebboune, to establish bilateral relations centered on economic integration.

In response, Ambassador Boudmedienne conveyed President Tebboune’s warm greetings to his Kenyan counterpart, President Uhuru Kenyatta, expressing the Algerian leader’s personal commitment to fostering the development of bilateral relations between Algeria and Kenya.

It is noteworthy that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune directed the allocation of 16 tons of fertilizer as assistance to the Republic of Kenya.
