The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has released its monthly ranking of national teams, revealing a significant drop for the Algerian team to the 43rd position globally. This marks a 13-place decline from their previous 30th position in the last ranking.

Additionally, the national team fell to the seventh position in Africa and fifth among Arab countries, trailing behind Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, and Tunisia.

This downturn follows the team’s elimination from the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Côte d’Ivoire.

Meanwhile, the Argentine national team continues to lead the rankings, followed by France in second place, and England securing the third position, ahead of Belgium and Brazil, who are in fourth and fifth places, respectively.

This shift in the FIFA rankings highlights the dynamic nature of international football, where performances in major tournaments can significantly impact a team’s global standing. The Algerian team’s recent setback in the AFCON has evidently influenced their position, underscoring the competitive challenges on the global stage.
