Algeria’s Hajj Mission Ready for Sacred Rites Phase as Minister Confirms Full Pilgrim Support

Minister of Religious Affairs and Waqf, Youcef Belmahdي, convened a press briefing Saturday, outlining preparations for the second and most critical phase of the Hajj season, centered on the sacred rites including the pivotal Day of Arafat.

The Minister told dzwatch that all Algerian pilgrim flights through Jeddah and Medina airports have been received under optimal conditions, with seamless transfers to Mecca carried out through a well-coordinated plan involving all members of the Algerian Hajj mission.

Belmahdي confirmed full care is being provided to Algerian pilgrims regarding accommodation, catering, and healthcare, while mission members have been directed to ensure the best possible conditions for performing rituals in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

The Minister urged pilgrims to strictly follow the guidance of mission members and respect organizational instructions to preserve their safety and ensure smooth movement during the rites.

Belmahdي also disclosed that eight Algerian pilgrims have passed away thus far, confirming that the health and field conditions of remaining pilgrims are being closely monitored.
