Outcomes of Algerian-French Joint Committee on History and Memory to be Presented Tomorrow

The Algerian-French Joint Committee on History and Memory will present the outcomes of its fifth meeting on Monday at 14:00. The meeting, held in Algiers on May 22 and 23, will culminate in a press conference at the National Archives Center, as reported by national radio on Sunday.

During this press conference, scheduled for 2 PM, the committee will disclose the results of their latest discussions. The fourth meeting of the joint committee, which took place on February 25, enabled the Algerian side to catalogue all the material heritage looted by French colonial forces from 1830 to 1962.

Mohamed Lahcen Zeguidi, the coordinator of the Algerian side of the committee, previously stated that after visiting various civil and military archival centers in Paris and its suburbs, the committee has acquired comprehensive information regarding the material heritage looted by the French colonizers during their presence in Algeria.
