The President of the Independent National Electoral Authority, Mohamed Charfi, announced on Sunday that all necessary arrangements have been made to enable presidential candidates to obtain signature collection forms. He revealed that this process will commence the day after the electorate is officially called.

Speaking to the press during the inauguration of the new provincial office of the Independent National Electoral Authority in Guelma, Charfi stated that his authority has completed all preparations to begin distributing the signature collection forms immediately following the signing of the decree by the President of the Republic, which calls the electorate for this important election.

In the same context, Charfi assured that preparations are in place to ensure the smooth validation process of the signatures on the forms. He mentioned that an adequate number of notaries and judicial officers will be mobilized to complete the process within the legally specified deadlines.

Charfi also noted that the organizational preparations for the upcoming presidential elections, including the exceptional review of voter lists, will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law on the Electoral System of 2021.

Reiterating his confidence, Charfi emphasized that Algeria has reached a high level of control over all stages of the electoral process, ensuring that no one, internally or externally, can question the integrity of elections in Algeria.

Furthermore, Charfi highlighted the decision to include young individuals who have reached the legal voting age of 18 and are registering for the first time in the electoral lists. These young people will be part of the teams overseeing polling stations during the presidential elections scheduled for September 7, aiming to integrate this significant demographic into political life.
