The fourth edition of the National Photography Salon kicked off on Monday evening at the “Abdelkader Alloula” House of Culture in Tlemcen, under the theme “My Identity Through an Algerian Lens.”

The opening ceremony of this event, organized by the Tlemcen Arts and Exhibitions Center, featured around 20 photographs showcasing traditional clothing and jewelry at the “Abdelhalim Hemesh” Art Gallery within the cultural institution.

According to Samira Ambo Azza, Director of the Tlemcen Arts and Exhibitions Center, this edition sees the participation of 20 professional photographers from various provinces, including Tlemcen, Ghardaia, Laghouat, Adrar, Setif, Annaba, and others.

The ongoing salon, which runs until May 30, has attracted a significant number of professional and amateur photographers eager to learn about the techniques used in capturing the displayed photographs by participating photographers.

On this occasion, a promotional photography workshop will be organized, bringing together academics, amateurs, and social media page owners dedicated to photography. Another workshop focusing on traditional clothing and jewelry will be held at Tlemcen’s historical sites.

Additionally, a national photography competition focusing on traditional clothing and jewelry will be held on the sidelines of the salon.
