Algeria Reaffirms Support for Arab Cooperation in Meeting with Arab League Chief

Algeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Wednesday morning with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting in Amman.

During the meeting, the Arab League chief outlined his key priorities and the action plan he intends to present to member states, aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of joint Arab action and enhancing the organization’s ability to address current regional challenges.

For his part, Attaf reiterated Algeria’s full support for the Secretary-General’s efforts to successfully carry out his mission in serving Arab interests and causes. He also emphasized the importance of the Arab League as the most appropriate framework for coordinating cooperation among Arab countries.

The discussions took place alongside the ministerial meeting dedicated to supporting Jerusalem and its holy sites, organized by the Arab ministerial committee tasked with international action to confront Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem.
