Leaders of the parties forming the “Majority Coalition for Algeria” have decided to postpone a press conference scheduled for tomorrow, which was intended to set the agenda and program for the national conference.

According to information obtained by “Sabq Press,” the leaders of FLN, RND, and the Future Front met at the latter’s headquarters in the capital to discuss the suspension of the National Construction Movement’s membership in the coalition just days after its establishment.

During the meeting, it was decided to postpone the press conference until after the electorate is convened in preparation for the presidential elections on September 7.

Representatives of the National Construction Movement who attended the coalition’s committee meeting yesterday reported the movement’s decision to freeze its membership and boycott the coalition’s activities.

The withdrawal of the National Construction Movement seems to have disrupted the four-party coalition and complicated its plans, which is evident in the postponement of its activities until after the electorate is convened and the situation becomes clearer for the coalition’s agenda.

Meanwhile, Abdelkader Benkirane, head of the National Construction Movement, is supervising a meeting at his party’s headquarters attended by several parties supporting President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s bid for a second term.
